behind the lens:

Hi! I'm Marissa and I'm the one behind the lens at Serene Sky Studios.

​

I earned my B.S. in Photojournalism, Broadcast Journalism, and Multimedia Journalism from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and now work as the full-time staff photographer for an Architecture and Engineering firm in Fargo, ND.

​

I'm originally from Florida, but my family and I moved to North Dakota in 2013, and I've stuck around ever since. I love to travel, so don't be afraid ask me to get involved with your destination weddings and elopements!

On the weekends, I spend my time in the sports photography world. My favorite part about the job is telling the story of the day, and that's exactly what I love to do for all of my couples and families as well.

With my photography background stemming from journalism, my style is very true-to-life and accurate to what things really looked and felt like on the day.
